Host A Screening on World Aids Day December 1st 2011 at 9pm

1. Choose A Venue

Choose a place that is fun and comfortable to watch the documentary (home, school, church, bar, etc.) If you have an establishment that is willing to sponsor the event, you can advertise it to your friends and the public.

Wherever you decide to have it make sure they have the following:

2. Promote

Invite all your friends and family. Call everyone in your phone-book, send an e-vite, or create flyers.

Make sure you “Like” Keep a Child Alive on Facebook!

Stay connected with the KCA community on Facebook with updated posts on how well your screening is going. Send photos and share how much fun you are having.

Tweet out the screening event to everyone! Four square where you are and see how many people reply- you could be “mayor” of your site!

3. Raise Money

Raise Money to benefit Keep a Child Alive: Charge an admission fee or ask for donations by family and friends. Set up an iKeep a Child Alive page to make it easy for you to raise money and collect donations for your screening.

4. Inspire at your screening

Introduce everyone to Keep a Child Alive’s work with a one sheet. Hang posters with statistics and the sites that KCA funds. Look at the Keep a Child Alive website for INSPIRATION—such as “What your Dollars Can Do.”

  • Set- up a laptop at your event and have the KCA website up so people can donate right on the spot.
  • Create an ikeepachildalive fundraising page and encourage people to donate by sending out the link to those who can’t join you at your party.
  • When 9:00 hits get the popcorn ready and enjoy Keep a Child Alive with Alicia Keys on Showtime!

How We Make
A Difference

Keep a Child Alive provides first class AIDS care, support, nutrition and love to children and families affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India. There are currently 15 million AIDS orphans in Africa alone and 30 million people have died from HIV/AIDS worldwide with only 44% of those in need on treatment. KCA funds more than just the pills necessary to fight HIV/AIDS by providing the necessary nutrition, shelter and support to ensure the treatment is taken properly and is effective. KCA currently provides funding to 11 clinical and orphan care sites in 5 countries: Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda and India.
