To mark the launch of Windows 10, Microsoft launched Upgrade Your World, a yearlong initiative celebrating
individuals and organizations who do great things, inspired by the vision to help people achieve more through the use
As part of this initiative, Microsoft invested $10 million, partnering with 10 global and 100 local nonprofits in 10
countries. We are thrilled to say that KCA was selected to be one of the 10 global nonprofits, receiving $500,000 and
supporting technology to further our life-saving work in Africa and India.
This summer Microsoft visited our programs at Alive Medical Services in Kampala, Uganda, to witness the work being
done on the ground firsthand. This video, which premiered at KCA’s 12th Annual Black Ball in November, tells the
story of how lives can be transformed through technology, young lives with the potential to then transform their
communities and change the trajectory of the AIDS epidemic.
Donate today to provide young people with the care and treatment they need.
We thank Microsoft for their partnership, for their amazing support of our work and for their determination to share
our story with others.
