The Runners Who Keep KCA Going—Both in the Race and Around the World

Kat Molina

The NYC Marathon. It’s iconic and something I’ve always wanted to do. This year, I get to run it for an amazing cause.

I chose to be a part of Keeping a Child Alive to make a positive difference in the lives of children and communities all over the world. Their mission to provide life-saving healthcare and support to families really spoke to me, and I’m excited to build lasting relationships with everyone involved in this journey.

I’ve played soccer my whole life, all the way through college, and after I stopped playing, I found a new appreciation for running. It’s one of my favorite pastimes outside of work and school, and it keeps me grounded. So I thought — what better way to make my first marathon even more meaningful than by making my miles count for something bigger.

Giving back has always been important to me. At the University of Miami, I was part of the first ever Dream on 3 team, helping kids with special needs live out their sports dreams. Now in New York, I volunteer with PAWS NY, helping elderly and disabled individuals take care of their pets. I’ve always believed in showing up for people in any way I can.

I’m definitely nervous, but mostly excited. I want to make these miles count and raise as much as I can for a cause that’s doing real, meaningful work.

Thank you so much for supporting me. Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a difference.

Lets do this!
